The Down Syndrome Society Of Kenya is a non-profit , non-political society, that seeks to educate, inform and lobby for the welfare and advancement of the 40,000 people in Kenya living with Down Syndrome.

Our Programmes include research, information dissemination and sensitizing key audiences such as medical practitioners,educators,social workers and religious organizations.

We are active in advocating for early intervention and better opportunities for persons with Down Syndrome, as well as pushing for greater integration of them into the mainstream of society.

The society is a resource,support and help network for parents and friends of people with Down Syndrome.

Down Syndrome Society of Kenya's volunteering opportunities are available in schools, children centres, hospitals and community medical clinics. We work directly with the projects where we send you and where your contribution will make a real and meaningful difference. You will be offered a personal and customisable placement service. You will be supported throughout the duration of your placement. We use our local knowledge and spend time in the country meeting your requirements.
